Thank you for supporting The Committee to Elect Cathy Harder-Bernier! Cathy has been proudly serving as Hanover’s Town Clerk since 2013, and has always had a mission of professionalism and community service. As a dedicated public servant, Cathy will continue her work ensuring democratic, secure elections, preserving Hanover’s rich history, providing access to vital public records without compromising privacy, and much more. These campaigns are made possible by donations from people like you, and we thank you for your continued support!

In her personal life, Cathy has raised two children who went through Hanover Schools, and has served as a member or chair of many organizations such as the HHS Yes!-Steering Committee, Hanover Parks and Recreation Committee, and the South Shore YMCA’s Community Campaign. Cathy received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of Vermont with a major in Psychology and a concentration in Political Science, and went on to receive a Master’s degree in Education from Indiana University before moving to Hanover in 1991. She began her work in Hanover public service after volunteering for and eventually managing State Representative Jan O’Brien’s campaigns in the early 90’s, and served as her campaign manager when she was elected Town Moderator. Cathy served as an election worker and also volunteered with the Document Preservation Project in the Hanover Town Clerk's Office for over a year prior to her election. Cathy is proud to serve her town, and work for people like you.
